Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive in Keswick, Lake District

Day 2 – Trek up Blencathra 868m

This circular route gives us a nice gentle start to your trekking holiday. We will start from Threkeld and take a walk up the south western slopes to Knowe Crags and on to the summit of Blencathra. After taking in the view towards Sharp Edge we will return to Threkeld via Doddick Fell.

Hotel, breakfast and dinner included. 5 hours trekking, 461m ascent

Day 3 – Trek up Skiddaw 931m

This morning we will start at the Blencathra visitor centre before making your way up the zig zag path to the summit. The route provides stunning views over Mungrisdale Common and the Northern Lake District. We will return via the same route before returning to our hotel for dinner.

Day 4 – Rest day (can be swopped to any other day)

Today we suggest a boat trip on the Ullswater Steamers £10.20pp. You can get off at different landing points on the lake and trek sections of the lake or you can take lunch and wait for the boat to pick you up. The choice is yours!

Hotel, breakfast and dinner included.

Day 5 – trek up Hellvelyn 950m

We will start our trek from the banks of Thirlmere Lake making our way up the zig zag path. The path is steep in places but well worth the effort as you will be able to see back to Ullswater! We have a choice of 2 different descent routes returning through the forest at Wythburn or back the same way as we came up.
