"I was so glad I used Berber Treks to arrange our 'walk in the desert'.  It was organised with a minimal of fuss, everything went like clockwork, the guide and cook were second to none, and all the needs of our little group were catered for. We had a brilliant time and would not hesitate to recommend the company to our friends. Many thanks Georgina...I truly mean it!"

"Our guide, Mustapha, was really excellent. He provided good information in advance of each day's trek, showing us on maps where we would be going, and pointing out the ascents and descents. On the walks he was sensitive to our pace and any individual needs - as a result we all really enjoyed our three walks. Mustapha also told us lots of interesting facts about the landscape, history, geology, agriculture, flora and Berber life and culture, and was very patient answering our endless questions! We ate three good meals every day, all credit to Omar our cook. The food was excellent, sourced with local ingredients, and introducing us to a range of local dishes. Both the drivers we had inspired confidence, especially on the twisting mountain roads, and we appreciated the fact that the vehicle was sturdy and quite new. We would definitely recommend Berber Treks to friends, and hope to be back again one day."

"What an experience of a lifetime to the Roof of Africa! The Kilimanjaro trek (Lemosho route) couldn't have been better organised via Georgina Talfana (Berber Treks), an International Mountain Leader. Our fantastic team of guides, doctor, porters and cook made it a memorable experience. I'm talking portable toilet all the way upto high camp - that's pure luxury :)Will be delighted to recommend Berber Treks any day! All the best x"

"Just came back from a fantastic trek to the top of Kilimanjaro. Logistics were impeccably planned, expert guidance was always on hand and the support staff went out of their way to help make it a memorable experience. Thanks to our 'Western guide' Georgina from Berber Treks and to entire support team. I have no hesitation in recommending this team and experience to future trekkers."

"Recently did a Kilimanjaro trek with Georgina and her team from Berber Treks. It was truly a lifetime experience and am grateful to Georgina for putting together such a wonderful trip. Georgina is very experienced and managed our team to success. She has a good relationship with the local companies necessary to support the trip. On the actual trek she collaborated with the local guides to ensure that all went well. Really appreciated the way that Georgina briefed the group every evening about what to expect as this really helped to plan our day.Happy to recommend Georgina and Berber Treks as a reliable and considerate company to undertake a Kilimanjaro trip."

"I had a fantastic time this summer on Georgina's open enrolment Gold DofE! The challenge of climbing mountains was made manageable and incredibly enjoyable by her organisation and wonderful guides. And of course the views at the top were beautiful. I made great friends on the trip and I would highly recommend this trip to anyone. Combining the expedition with the residential was also a great choice as it meant you got to see the culture of rural Morocco too through staying with families. I learnt loads, laughing with the women when I made the bread completely wrongly and playing charades to communicate! Thanks Georgina!"

"I would HIGHLY recommend Berber Treks for your trip to Morocco. Our service was top-notch! Our guide gave us his cell phone number and told us to call him if we needed assistance at any time. We had to call him a couple of times with issues and he was so pleasant and helpful! Berber Treks is a professional, reputable business and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others. I wish I had used them to plan even more of my trip in Morocco!"

"We had a mixed group of 30 Year 12 students complete their Gold Expedition in the Atlas Mountains with Berber Treks in July 2013. Despite such a large group all the organisation went very smoothly. The accommodation in Marrakesh & Arund was excellent, the transport safe & efficient, the local staff as always were outstanding, friendly, helpful and very considerate. Georgina, Tarik & their team run a very slick operation. We were well looked after at all times & the students were able to operate independently but with appropriate supervision.I would have no hesitation in recommending Berber Treks to other schools & I certainly intend to use them again in the future." "I just want to say thank you on behalf of LJY-Netzer and Liberal Judaism for all the hard work Berber Treks put in to our Morocco Tour. You were exceptionally flexible regarding day-to-day changes to the programme and were always able to offer help and assistance when needed. We would definitely recommend Berber Treks to anyone looking to run/participate on a tour of Morocco. 5 Stars from us!"

"Hi Georgina, It was the best holiday ever!! Morocco is stunningly beautiful. I loved everything about it. We miss Saaid very much. :'( Abrahim was such an incredible cook, we decided to buy some Moroccan spices to try some of his recipes, though I don't think we can match Abrahim's cooking!! Enough said, I need a bit of practice before I invite you both for dinner!!! LOL Once again, many congratulations on your wedding! I am delighted for you and wish you both much love and happiness in your life together. Please do let us know when you are planning to visit London. We'd be delighted to finally meet you. Best wishes, Viola"

"9 Gold participants completed their final qualifying expedition under Georgina's professional and thorough gaze and Tarik's attentive and good natured team this October (2011). I have spent 5 weeks in Morocco already this year with other expeditions and found this one to be the most efficient yet. I would not hesitate to recommend Berber Treks to any school groups looking for a safe but rewarding adventure to Morocco. Simon Gaddes Expeditions Coordinator, Brighton College."

"We were looking for somewhere interesting to go walking to soak up some of the end of year sun! We are reasonably well travelled and have walked, although not trekked, in various parts of the world. This was our first trip to the African continent. There were only the two of us who wanted to go on this particular week but the welcome and hospitality were unstinting. Tarik, our guide, along with Jamaal and Hamid the camel drivers, cooks and camp erectors were excellentIt was amazing what Jemaal was able to conjure up from a single gas ring stove. The hiking stretched us in parts, particularly as it was hot, 30 degrees plus, with just a light breeze. The camels went on ahead each day so we were always welcomed with mint tea and nibbles after the walking. The last camp site was like an oasis. A swim in the Atlantic (a bit cold!) and then a refreshing shower in a waterfall. Extraordinary! The sensory overload of the Essaouira fishing port in the early morning followed by the mayhem of the DJemaa El Fna in the old part of Marakech was such a contrast to the peace and quiet (if you call the roaring Atlantic quiet) of the trek. Brilliant.."

"Sarah and I ventured to Morocco to experience pristine wilderness, soak up the local culture, and test ourselves mountaineering in the Altas Mountains. Our Mt Toubkal trek gave us all of those experiences within four days. Tarik was exceptionally friendly and went out of his way to ensure that we got the most out of our trek, and the remainder of our trip to Morocco. We spent two days taking the "path less travelled", where we encountered local Berber people going about their everyday lives, and only a handful of other walkers - this felt very authentic and was a real highlight. Tarik took the time to explain the interesting sights and stories we encountered on the way, but never felt like an "overbearing" guide. As vegetarians we were well looked after with fresh fruit and vegies, and never went hungry (nor short of delicious mint tea!). Mount Toubkal is an amazing mountain and during the second part of the trek we had the chance to interact with a number of other climbers of myriad nationalities who had come to take on this special peak. We felt very welcome in Morocco and will always have special memories of an excellent trip."
